Summit Medical Group is pleased to announce the arrival of dermatologist Sam Kim, MD. Dr. Kim will be practicing in our Berkeley Heights and Short Hills offices.

Formerly a dermatologist in private practice in New York City and Philadelphia, Dr. Kim's professional interests include acne and skin cancer.

Dr. Kim earned his BA in political science magna cum laude at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and his MD at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During medical school, he was named a 21st Century Endowed Scholar. After graduating, Dr. Kim completed his internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia, where he was designated Chief Resident. 

Dr. Kim is the coauthor of articles and book chapters concerning a range of topics in dermatology, which are published in American Academy of Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, and Advances in Dermatology, to name a few. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

A recipient of the Nancy C. Bell, MD, Memorial Prize in Dermatology, Dr. Kim will help expand the dermatology service at SMG by joining his colleagues Naheed Abbasi, MD, MPH, FAAD, Gabriel Gruber, MD, and Monib Zirvi, MD, PhD.
