Health officials are warning that influenza is now widespread across New Jersey, with weeks to go before the expected peak of the flu season. Even though the flu season is well underway, the worst could still be ahead, so doctors advise that it’s not too late to get a flu shot. In an interview with NJTV, Summit Health’s Dr. Corey Smith, Department Chair, Emergency Medicine, explains the toll that the flu can take on one’s health, and recommends what to do to get over the flu.
