What to Expect

This is what patients can expect at every encounter of their journey.

Our dedicated team will openly discuss all aspects of a diagnosis and treatment options, and an individualized plan will be developed based on specific needs and health goals.

Prevention Steps

HPV Vaccine
Get screened for the human papillomavirus (HPV) – the most common sexually-transmitted infection.  HPV infections can increase the risk of developing cervical and other cancers (oral, vulvar, anal).  The HPV vaccine (Gardasil) is recommended for both males and females between the ages of 11 and 45.

Screening Tests
Screening tests look for a disease before there are symptoms.  Screening tests include: mammography, colonoscopies, Pap tests and HPV testing.  Finding disease early can lead to more effective treatment.

Pap Test
The Pap test can detect cellular changes that could lead to pre-cervical cancer.

Family History
Know your family history and discuss it with your doctor.

Clinical Research and Trials

We are constantly discovering innovative new therapies for cancer that can more aggressively treat the disease and improve quality of life, such as managing the debilitating side effects of chemotherapy treatment. Our patients have access to select clinical trials and research studies.
